Roadside explosion hits NRC vehicle in Nangarhar

JALALABAD (Pajhwok):  The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) vehicle came under attack on Sunday in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said.

Deputy Police Chief Ghulam Rabani told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place at around 10:30am in the limits of 1st municipality district where the house of 1st Deputy Speaker Haji Zahir Qadir was situated.

 According to Rabani no one suffered causalities in the blast, but Akbar, an eyewitness, said two civilians sustained minor wounds in the explosion on NRC vehicle.

NRC confirmed Sunday’s blast saying one of their vehicles was damaged by what appears to be a roadside bomb in Jalalabad, Nangarhar.that at 9:25am, 8 November, 2015.

The was no claims of responsibility for the attack.
