Nimroz woman struck by lightning; boy electrocuted

ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Lightning and electric shock resulted in the death of a woman and a child in southeastern Nimroz province, a public healthinfo-icon official said on Wednesday.

Public Health Director Dr. Noor Ahmad Sherzad said the woman was struck by lightning in the Khawaja Karim locality of Zaranj, the provincial capital.

Mohammad Umar, a resident of Zaranj, said a seven years old boy was killed as a result of electric shock on Wednesday.

He urged parents and families to look after their children and not to let them touch electric wires. Precautions and awareness were essential, he said
