Ghazni militants abduct 3 civilians, beat up robbers

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Talibaninfo-icon fighters have abducted two civilians in the restive southern province of Ghazni, officials said on Sunday.

On Sunday morning, the rebels disembarked five civilians, including three womeninfo-icon, from a car in the Mushak area of Qara Bagh district.

The three women were freed but the two men taken away by fighters, the provincial police spokesman, Fahim Amiri, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

A resident of the district, Rahim, said the Taliban had abducted five people, including three women, in Qarabagh and another in Maqur district.

Separately, the militants beat up three robbers for abducting an auto-rickshaw driver from Ghazni City to Mangoor area on the outskirts of the provincial capital.

Security officials have so far said nothing about the incident.
