KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Ghulam Naser Khaze has been appointed as new governor of Ghorinfo-icon province, the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) announced on Sunday.

His appointment is based on a presidential number (1906), according to a brief statement from IDLG, which had proposed Khaze for the top provincial slot.

Three days back, ex-governor of Ghor Seema Joyenda said President Ashraf Ghani had appointed her as deputy governor of Kabul.

Ms. Joyenda, Afghanistaninfo-icon’s second woman governor, linked her removal to pressure from warlords, land-grabbers and some corrupt individuals.

The incoming Ghor governor belongs to western Herat province. Khaze was a key member of CEO Dr. Abdullah’s campaign team.
