ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Two civilians were killed as a result of a roadside bombing in the southwestern province of Nimroz, officials said on Wednesday.

Two motorcyclists, traveling from the Rodbar area of Charburjakto the district centre, were killed when their bike hit the roadside bomb, the deputy police chief said.

Col. Mohammad Ghaus Sistani told Pajhwok Afghan News the Talibaninfo-icon planted the bomb to target the security forces, but the civilian motorbike struck the explosive device.

No one has so far asserted responsibility for the bombing, but the authorities generally blame the Taliban for implanting the roadside bombs.
