KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Dominic James Robert Jermey has been appointed as British ambassador to Afghanistaninfo-icon, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) announced on Thursday.

Having served as chief executive of the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI), Jermey replaces Ms. Karen Pierce and will take up his appointment in February 2016.

Married to Clare Judith Jermey, with two children, he has served as International Counter Extremism Coordinator, ambassador to the UAE and Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Kabul.
