2 Afghan soldiers, 4 rebels killed in Kunar, Laghman

ASADABAD/MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Two Afghan soldiers and four militants have been killed during separate incidents in eastern Kunar and Laghman provinces, officials said on Wednesday.

The two Afghan National Army (ANA) troops were killed and as many wounded in a roadside bombing that took place on Tuesday evening in Zangal area of Narai district, Kuanr police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said two Talibaninfo-icon fighters were killed and four others and a civilian were wounded during a clash that followed the blast.

In neighbouring Laghman province, two insurgents were killed and as many wounded in two separate clashes with security forces in Qalagai and Gardi Salab areas of Alishan district on Tuesday evening.
