KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): At least 18 individuals have been arrested in Kabul in connection with overnight celebratory gunfire that left one person injured, an official said on Thursday.

Sedique Sediqi, Ministry of Interior (MoI) spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan Newssuch firing was against the law. Eighteen people had been arrested, he added.

Happy with Afghanistaninfo-icon’s emphatic win over Zimbabwe, the MoI spokesman urged the people to celebrate the happy moment in a legal way. He once again asked the nation to avoid firing into the future on such occasions.

.Gulbadin Naib’s gutsy pinch-hitting powered Afghanistan to a sensational win over Zimbabwe in the last One-Day International (ODI) at the Sharjah International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday night.

In violation of the MoI warning, excited cricket fans could not control their emotions and opened bursts of fire to celebrate the triumph.
