PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Representatives from Afghanistaninfo-icon, Pakistaninfo-icon, China and the United States will meet on Monday to prepare a roadmap for the revival of an Afghan-led peace process.

The state-run Associated Press of Pakistan reported Afghanistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Khalil Karzai and Pakistan’s Foreign SecretaryAizaz Ahmad Chaudhry will represent their countries.

On the sidelines of last month’s Heart of Asia Conference in Islamabad, the four countries set up a quadrilateral coordination committee to push the peace process in Afghanistan.

Despite a spike in insurgent-linked violence in Afghanistan in recent months, some Talibaninfo-icon factions have reportedly signaled their willingness to joint peace talks with the Afghan government.
