ALP commander gunned down in Baghlan

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): An Afghan Local Police (ANP) commander has been gunned down in northern Baghlan province, the governor said on Wednesday.

Abdul Sattar Bariz told Pajhwok Afghan News the ALP commander, Sahar Gul, was shot dead by unknown gunmen on Tuesday night in the Baghlan-i-Markazi district.

He said police were investigating the incident but so far no one had been arrested.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a Talibaninfo-icon spokesman, confirmed the killing and said Gul alias Salar was from Zamankhel area of the district and was a military commander.
