Ghani leaves for Germany to attend Munich conference

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani, at the head of a high-level delegation, on Thursday left Kabul for a two-day visit to Germany to attend the upcoming Munich Security Conference.

A statement from the Presidential Palace said the president was expected to meet a number of worldinfo-icon leaders and speak about Afghanistaninfo-icon’s security issues at the 52nd Munich summit on security issues.

World leaders and representatives of international organizations will attend the conference to discuss world’s important issues, particularly about terrorism, migrant crisis, regional stability, the future of NATOinfo-icon and climate change.

President Ghani is accompanied by his Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani, National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar and senior advisor Dr. Mohammad Hamayon Qayumi during the visit, the statement said.
