The Afghan commandos backed by air support from the Afghan Air Force conducted the operation on Sunday night in Adezo, Sinzo and some other areas of Tagab, Afghan Local Police (ALP) commander in the district, Asad Agha Safi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said a Talibaninfo-icon commander, Jan Agha, was killed along with three others and another three militants were injured as a result of an airstrike during the operation. The militants were trying to flee when they were hit, he said.

Some of houses were partially damaged during the clashes and bombardment, a resident of the district, Khairullah said.
