Military commanders agree on enhanced border security

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Top military commanders from Afghanistaninfo-icon and Pakistaninfo-icon have agreed on better coordination and enhancing security on the Durand Lineinfo-icon.

The agreement came at talks between Afghan Corps Commander Lt. Gen.MuninFaqirand his Pakistani counterpart Lt. Gen.AamerRiaz in Quetta on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations a nine-member delegation of the Afghan National Army, headed by Faqir, visited the Southern Command headquarters.

The commanders agreed to enhance coordination and security measures on their respective sides of the border. The visiting officials laid a floral wreath at the Shuhada monument and praised the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army in the fight against terrorism.
