Feb 20, 2016 - 16:33

SHARAN (Pajhwok): At least five civilians lost their lives to two separate explosions in the Wazikhwa district of southeastern Paktika province on Saturday.

A woman and two children were killed on Saturday afternoon when the car they were travelling in struck a roadside bomb in the district, resident Syed Noor told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The car’s driver was also killed while a fifth person was seriously wounded, the resident said. However, he would not say who was behind the bombing.

Abdul Ghani Paktin, provincial council chairman, said one man was killed and another injured when the motorbike struck a roadside bomb in the same district.
