NATO chief to visit Kabul ahead of Warsaw summit

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATOinfo-icon) secretary-general will visit Afghanistaninfo-icon in near future, a diplomat has said.

NATO’s Senior Civilian Representative Ambassador Ismail Aramaz informed Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani of Jens Stoltenberg’s planned trip.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Aramaz also discussed with Rabbani the NATO chief’s engagements in Afghanistan.

The foreign minister hailed the scheduled visit as important and valuable. The trip will take place before the July Warsaw Summit, an important event for Afghanistan.
