PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): An ailing Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier has been evacuated by Pakistani forces to a hospital in the tribal region of Bajaur, bordering Afghanistaninfo-icon’s eastern Kunar province.

Pakistani forces shifted the sick soldier from the Nawa Pass border area to a medical facility in the Charmang area of Bajaur, a tribal administration official was quoted as saying by The News on Sunday.

The Afghan solider, feeling comfortable, thanked the Pakistani forces for shifting him to their camp, giving him medical assistant on humanitarian grounds.

Over the past one year, at least four Afghan soldiers have been brought Pakistani territory in Bajaur Agency for medical treatment, the newspaper reported.
