Iran willing to help Afghan peace process: Rouhani

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Iran has expressed its willingness to cooperate with Pakistaninfo-icon on the peace process in Afghanistaninfo-icon for the sake of stability in the region.

Tehran was ready for holding trilateral talks among Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan on the peace dialogue, President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference on the conclusion of his two-day to Pakistan, he said: “Peace and stability is vital for Afghanistan. We are ready to do all we can to help achieve peace and security there.”

The visiting president said he had discussed with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the Afghan issue.“Iran is a peace loving country. All of us need peace, progress and prosperity.”
