KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): A dozen top holy Quraninfo-icon’s reciters and Tajweed students have been selected after a completion in Kabul and they are poised to participate in international recitation contests.

The 12 reciters hailing from Kabul have been selected from among 72 aspirants after a three-day competition in Kabul. Ihsanullah got first, Ahmadullah second and Inayatullah finished third in the recitation contest.

At a special ceremony for the winners, Qari Barakatullah Salim, head of the reciters affairs at the Ministry of Hajjinfo-icon and Islamic Affairs (MoHIA), said the 12 reciters would travel to Iran, Malaysia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and Turkey for participating in recitation contests this year.
