District court registrar gunned down by motorcyclists in Khost

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead the Nader Shah Kot district court registrar in southeastern Khost province on Sunday, an official said.

Mubarez Mohammad Zadran, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan the registrar, Malem Khan, was on his way to office when two motorcyclists sprayed him with bullets.

The murder in broad daylight took place in the Sehra area of Mandozai district. The district chief, Mohammad Yunus Zadran, said an investigation into the incident had been launched.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
