MAHMOODRAQI (Pajhwok): One person was killed and four others were wounded as a result a clash between residents of two villages in the Kohistan-2 district of central Kapisa province, an official said on Saturday.

Police officer Brig. Gen. Abdul Karim Fayeq told Pajhwok Afghan News six people were detained after the firefight which erupted following due to an old enmity.

A Civil Hospital Doctor Agha Shirin said one of the four wounded people died and the others were in critical condition.

Mohammad Agha, a resident of the area, said heavy and light weapons were used by both sides during the clash that lasted several hours. He requested the government to disarm all area people.
