Shops owned by Afghan citizens closed in Khyber Agency

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Offices and shops owned by Afghancitizens have been closed in the Bara sub-district of Pakistaninfo-icon’s Khyber tribal region, a media report said on Sunday.

The Afghan nationals running shops and hotels in Landikotal and Torkham bazaars would be expelled and their businesses closed, The News International reported.

Zahid Younis, a senior administration official in Landikotal,told the newspaper they had not issued notices on the Afghans to vacate their shops and leave or leave for their motherland.

Public call offices and shops in Landikotal bazaar were raided on suspicion they were selling Afghan SIM cards.However, no Afghan SIM cardswere seized.
