3 aid workers gunned down by suspected militants in Parwan

CHARIKARinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Local officials on Thursday said three Afghan workers of an aid organisation have been killed by Talibaninfo-icon insurgents in central Parwan province.

Noor Aqa Sami, the Shiekh Ali district administrative chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Torij area of the district late on Wednesday.

He said the workers of Fox organization of the Aga Khan Foundation had traveled to a remote area of the district to train school staff on flood rescue measures.

All the three officers were killed during a Taliban ambush on their way back from the district to the provincial capital. Sami saidpolice had detained three suspects during a search.

However, the Taliban have not yet commented on the incident.
