Effective measures put in place to improve Kunduz security: Police chief

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok):  Police chief of northern Kunduz province Brig. Gen. Mohammad Qasim Jangal Bagh said on Thursday police with other security agencies put in place strict measure to ensure peace and avoid incidents of insecurity in the province in Eid holidays.

“I personally patrol areas during the night with other police officials to make sure that our people celebrate the Eid in peaceful environmentinfo-icon,” he said.

According to Jangal Bagh security forces were capable of facing any challenge, adding that they had improved a lot in the past few years.

He assured the residents of Kunduz that security officials would strive to protect them and provide a peaceful atmosphere for the people to enjoy Eid.

Earlier, people complained against law and order situations and demanded police to adopt more effective measures to improve security situations.
