GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The peace committee head for southern Ghazni province on Tuesday claimed escaping unhurt in an overnight bomb attack on his office.

Khaliliullah Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News: “Two magnetic bombs placed inside my office went off last night. But I wasn’t harmed in the blasts.”

He said windowpanes and doors of his office were shattered as a result of the explosions, which were also confirmed by the provincial police chief.

Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel said the bombings caused no casualties. The government-appointed peace negotiator’s office was partially damaged.
