Kabul, Tehran discuss ways of boosting energy cooperation

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Iran and Afghanistaninfo-icon have discussed ways of boosting cooperation in the fields of energy, transit and transportation, an Iranian media outlet reported on Thursday.

Minister of Finance Eklil Ahmad Hakimi said connecting Iran with Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and China through the Khaf-Herat railroad was one of the key subjects discussed.

At the closing ceremony of the 5th meeting of the Economic Cooperation Commission in Tehran, he hoped more concreted measures would be taken to increase bilateral cooperation.

IRNA reported officials from the two countries also exchanged views on issues including trade and economic, scientific and cultural, customs and environmentinfo-icon during the two-day meeting.
