1 soldier killed, another wounded in Kabul blast

KABUL (Pajhwok): One Afghan National Army (ANA) soldier was killed and another wounded in a bomb explosion in Kabul on Saturday, an official said.

Brig. Gen. HamayonAini, chief of the 119 police helpline, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Qala-I-Zaman Khan area in the ninth police district at around 8am.

He said the bomb had been attached to a Ranger pick-up of ANA. Civilians suffered no casualties in the explosion, he added.

However, eyewitness Hamidullah said a civilian was also injured in the blast. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
