Faryab roadside blast claims lives of 2 troops

MAIMANA (Pajhwok):  Two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers were killed and one wounded in a roadside blast in northwestern Faryab province on Wednesday, an official said.

Maj. Fazal Ahmad Dawari, spokesman for 209th Shaheen Military Corps, said ANA tank struck a landmine in the Almar district leaving two soldiers dead and one wounded.

Mohammad Saleh Saleh, the town’s administrative chief, confirmed the incident and said security forces tank came to Khawaja Usman post to get water and struck a roadside mine on its way back to Almar.
