CEO holds talks with Kazakh premier in Bishkek

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah has held talks with Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev on issues of bilateral interest in Bishkek.

Both are currently in Bishkek to attend the 15th meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.

A statement from Sagintayev’s office saidKazakhstan continuedpromoting initiatives aimed at the development of regional infrastructure with the participation of Afghanistaninfo-icon.

It cited CASA-1000 and TAPI pipeline projects. Kazakhstan is also providing technical and humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan in bilateral and multilateral formats.

Presently, 994 Afghan students are studying in Kazakh educational institutes. Kazakhstan has allocated $2.3 million for the construction of schools, hospitals and roads in Afghanistan, in addition to humanitarian aid of more than $17 million.
