2 dead, 4 hurt as land dispute turned violent in Kapisa

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed and six others wounded in separate incidents of violence in central Kapisa province, an official said on Saturday.

Police spokesman Mohammad Ayoub Yousufzai told Pajhwok Afghan News two people were killed and four other wounded over land ownership dispute.

He said the incident took place late on Friday in the Ghanikehelo village of Mahmood Raqi, the provincial capital.

Yousufzai said the dispute erupted between cousins over a piece of land and turned violent at the end that left two dead and four wounded.

Khoshal, the resident of locality said the Panjsher River which flows in the area drowned public lands due to which people sometimes indulged in disputes.

Separately, two people a father and a son were wounded in unidentified gunmen attack in Shokhi locality, he said.

The injured had been evacuated to the hospital, he added.
