3 soldiers killed, 6 students wounded in Khost bombing

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers have been killed and six school students wounded in a car bombing in southeastern Khost province, a reliable source said on Sunday.

Wishing anonymity, a government official told Pajhwok Afghan News three soldiers, including Commander Sardar, were killed in the blast. The security personnel came under attack when got off their vehicle to patrol the area.

Mubarez Mohammad Zadran, the governor’s spokesman, said the car bombing was carried out on Saturday evening in the Syedkhel township of Dwa Mandai area.

He had no information about casualties among the ANA officials, but confirmed six children had been injured in the incident. Some of the injured were in critical condition, he added.
