Females among 1500 ANA cadets complete trainings

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok):  As many as 1,500 recruits, including 129 females, on Sunday received certificates after completing training courses at the Kabul Military Training Center (KMTC), an official said.

KMTC Commander Brig. Gen. Lal Jan Zaheer said the graduates including officers and soldiers received their graduation certificates at the centre today.

He added the 129 female officers had completed a three months training in Turkey. “They learned how to identify different types of weapons and received training on self defense, military management and leadership.”

Senior military official Lt. Gen. Abdul Wahab Wardak said the national army had strong people’s and international community’s support. “We will give a crushing response to the militants”, he said.

Maliha, one of the graduates, told Pajhwok Afghan News she had completed a three months training in Turkey and had been trained in financial course at KMTC.

She said the Afghan girls considered it a moral duty to join the national army and the gender was ready to sacrifice their lives for the country.

2nd Lt. Rukhshana told Pajhwok Afghan News she registered herself for officer course one year ago after sometime she was sent to Turkey for training. On return, she started a logistic course at KMTC and today she received her graduation certificate.
