Afghan to represent Kabul in China’s OBOR

BEJIJING (Pajhwok): Representatives from 12 countries, including Afghanistaninfo-icon, for China’s modern-day silk road project were introduced to a meeting in Yiwu city of China on Sunday.

Azizullah Afghan, a resident of southern Khost province, has been appointed as Afghanistan representative for China’s One Belt One Road Initiative (OBOR).

Afghan had been previously doing trade activities in China, Dubai and some European countries.

The Afghan businessman has been living in Yiwu city in central Zhejiang province for the past 15 years.

He has donated 50,000 RMB to a tree plantation drive in the region in China. Afghan said he was alone when came to China but now he had a lot of friends there. He called Yiwu his second home.
