17 Daesh rebels eliminated in Nangahar airstrikes

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Seventeen Daesh militants have been killed in security forces airstrikes in the Achin, Pachir Agam and Kot districts of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday.

Six Daesh were killed in the overnight bombardment in the Torabora and Alefkhelo areas of Pachir Agam district, said police spokesman Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal.

Weapon and a machine gun were destroyed during the strike.

He said five more rebels were killed in Peshai Tangi area of Achin district in air raid.

In Kot district, six Daesh rebels were killed in airstrike, said a statement from 201st Selab Military Corps.

It added the airstrikes conducted in Wach Lagad, Toor Pana, Shaheedano and Bakri localities.

The statement said no civilian and security personnel suffered casualties in the attack.
