4 Afghan soldiers killed in Faryab landmine blast

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): Four Afghan National Army (ANA) troops were killed in a roadside bombing in Almar district of northern Faryab province on Tuesday, the district chief said.

Mohammad Saleh Saleh, the Almar district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the roadside bomb ripped through an ANA vehicle in Timir Koprik area of the district at around 3pm.

He said the tank belonging to the 1st Brigade of the 209th Shaheen Military Corps was destroyed in the blast that caused the casualties.

There has been so far no claim of responsibility for the incident.
