KABUL (Pajhwok): The Saudi Arabia Assistance Committee on Wednesday said it provided books and equipment worth nearly four million afghanis to Abu Hanifa Library in Kabul.
A statement from the Saudi Assistance Committee received by Pajhwok Afghan News said the library was also equipped with carpets, shelves and computers alongside the books.
The books, computers and other important equipment were provided to the library under an agreement signed between the Saudi Embassy and the Ministry of Education in 2013.
In the agreement, the Saudi committee pledged $1 million in aid and provided 124,000 religious books to seminary students besides copies of the holy Quran to 20,000 students.
