MINA, SAUDI ARABIA (Pajhwok): Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Chairman of Hajj Central Committee announces that Saudi Arabia recruited more than 300,000 civil and military personnel to serve pilgrims this year 2 Mina, outskirts of Makkah.
Prince Khalid Al-Faisal also announced that the Hajj and Umrah train is now on duty, expected to transport 365,000 pilgrims in addition to more than 21,000 buses to lift more than two million pilgrims.
He said Makkah governorate has completed 14 projects worth SR300 million.
In response to a question on the criticism launched on some media outlets against the Kingdom, calling for politicization of Hajj, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal denied such calls, saying that the best answer to whoever degrades the Kingdom’s efforts in the service of pilgrims is what is being viewed now by the whole world as unprecedented services to the guests of God.
Asked to comment on hosting of Qatari pilgrims by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, he said that the Royal attitude is not strange as the brothers from Qatar are guests of Allah and we have to serve them.
He disclosed that last touches are being conducted by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah after having been endorsed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to a project to develop the sacred places of Mina, Muzdalefa and Arafat.
He also unveiled that the establishment of Hajj and Umrah University is another study being reviewed by the Governorate of Makkah together with the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques.
Meanwhile The General Presidency for the Grand Holy Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah announced today the success of the first phase of its plan for this year’s Hajj season 1438 H.
The President of Al-Masjid Al-Haram and Al-Masjid Al-Nabawi Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais appreciated the efforts being exerted by the Presidency culminated in the success of phase one of this year’s Hajj season.
