6 foreign soldiers wounded in Bagram car-suicide attack

CHARIKARinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Six foreign soldiers and three civilians were wounded in a vehicle-borne IED attack in the Bagram district of central Parwan province on Monday afternoon, NATOinfo-icon spokesman in Afghanistaninfo-icon said.

Bill Salvin said none of the injuries were considered life threatening. All of the injured service members were being treated at the US military hospital at Bagram Air Base.

The incident happened at around 1:15 pm, he added. Bagram District Chief Abdul Shakor Qodusi said there was no information about the losses of foreign troops, but three injured civilians had been shifted to the hospital from the site of blast.

The Talibaninfo-icon claimed responsibility for attack. The group spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said killing 13 foreign soldiers were killed and 11 others injured in the attack. Three military tanks were also destroyed in the attack, added Mujahid.

Four-day back foreign forces convoy was targeted by suicide bomber in Bagram.
