KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Afghanistaninfo-icon under-19 cricket team on Wednesday defeated Bangladesh in their fourth ODI to lead the five-match series 2-1, thanks to Mujeeb Zadran’s seven-wicket haul, an official said.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) spokesman Farid Hotak told Pajhwok Afghan News the national side set the Bangladeshis 133 runs target after they were invited to bat in the 50-over game.

The Afghan batsmen were all out in the 45th over, with Nisar Wahdat hitting 53, Darwish Rasooli 23 and Naween-ul-Haq 16, Hotak said.

The hosts were unable to stay at the crease and their batsmen fell in quick succession and were bundled out in the 31st over for only 88 runs.

For Afghanistan, the man of the match Mujeeb Zadran grabbed seven wickets to help his side surge to a 45-run victory and lead the series 2-1.

The first one-day was won by Bangladesh, the second washed out and third won by Afghanistan.

The Afghan team arrived in Bangladesh for the one-day friendly series in the lead-up to the Asia Cup and World Cricket Cup championships. The next and last match of the series will be played on Saturday.
