KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Kakar Advocates has achieved the status of band I firm for a second year in a row in the Chambers and Partners’ 2018 Asia-Pacific Guide, a statement from the law firm said on Saturday.

Welcoming the newly published Chambers and Partners’ 2018 Asia-Pacific Guide ranking, the Kakar Advocates statement added its managing Partner, Kawun Kakar, was ranked as Band I lawyer.

Chambers and Partners is the most reputable legal directory worldwide, publishing seven regional guides per year that cover 185 jurisdictions.

All firms were ranked as band I, II, or III, with Band I being the highest ranking. To be qualified for ranking, firms had to make a submission and take part in the directory’s research.

The research process was completely independent and client feedback was the most important factor in the ranking decision, the statement added..

The Asia-Pacific Guide calls Kakar Advocates:

“Standout firm providing a wide range of commercial services, including legislative, tax and labor advisory work with solid expertise across sectors such as aviation, telecommunications and mining. Clients benefit from its impressive bench of Afghan and internationally qualified lawyers.”

The Guide also recognized Senior Counsel Thomas Kraemar as a notable practitioner at the firm and Associate Attorney Sara Balagh as the sole “Associate to Watch” in Afghanistaninfo-icon.

“In regards to the firm’s capabilities, our clients have noted that they are immediately available and the quality of work is really excellent”. Clients have also recognized Mr. Kakar as “very strong and valued reputation for integrity, experience and legal skills in Afghanistan”.

“We are grateful to our clients and partners for honoring us with the opportunity to work with them and for their generous feedback. The firm’s success is also a reflection of the strengthening of the rule of law in the country and the Afghan Government’ efforts to improve the legal framework and the business climate for private investment. We will continue to provide quality services but also expand our practice areas to meet growing demands in emergent sectors.”
