Wasiq said 1st Lt. Jan Ali, commander of the Kabul-Bamyan highway security unit, and one other individual involved in selling a Russian military tank had also been referred to the attorney office.

“These two individuals wanted to sell an old Russian tank after cutting it into pieces,” the crime branch head said.

Some days back, Ali Babak, a senior Bamyan police officer, and Bahman, an intelligence agent, were also detained on moral corruption charges.

Locals said that Abdul Haq, senior educationinfo-icon supervisor for Seghan district, was nabbed i a moral corruption case. However, he was released after paying 350,000 afghanis in bribe.
