3 more Afghan players sold in IPL auction

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): After Rashid Khan who fetched nearly $1.5 million, another three Afghan players -- Mohammad Nabi, Zahir Khan and Mujeeb Zadran -- have been bought for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).

Last year Nabi and Rashid Khan played for Sunrisers Hyderabad team in the IPL and both showed brilliant performance.

This time ten Afghan cricketers are registered for the auction and four of them have so far been picked up.

Teenaged leg spinner Rashid Khan was bought for a $ 1.5 million by Sunrisers Hyderabad yesterday and Mohammad Nabi was bought by the same team for $157,300 on Sunday.

Mujeeb Zadran, who is only 16 years old and is currently playing for the Afghanistaninfo-icon under-19 squad in the ongoing ICC U-19 Cricket Worldinfo-icon Cup in New Zealand has been bought by Kings Xi Punjab for a sturdy $629,000 and Zahir Khan, 19, for $94,380 by Rajasthan Royals.

Zadran shot to fame after claiming four wickets in his ODI debut against Ireland in 2017.
