<p>KANDARHAR CITY (Pajhwok): An unidentified gunman shot dead three police personnel in the capital of southern Kandahar province on Wednesday, an official said.</p>
<p>A well-placed source, who did not wanted to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Faqeer Baba Street in Kandahar City early in the morning.</p>
<p>The gunman escaped after the assault, the official added. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.</p>
