4 commando forces killed in Farah clash

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Four commando forces have been killed during a clash with Talibaninfo-icon in the Balabulok district of western Farah province, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said on Saturday.

Maj. Gen. Dawlat Wazeri, spokesman for the Defence Ministry, told Pajhwok Afghan News four commandos were killed by the Taliban insurgents in Balabulok district on Friday.

He did not provide further details into the incident but said the Taliban also suffered causalities in the overnight clash.

But Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, the Taliban spokesman, claimed inflicting casualties to 53 Commando forces and capturing their weapons and ammunition in the attack.

Meanwhile, Sayed Ahmad, a resident of the Dehzaq village of the district, said that Taliban killed eight Commando forces in Totang village late on Friday night.
