2 border police personnel killed in Helmand bombing

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): At least two border policemen were killed and a third wounded in a car bombing in the Nada Ali district of southern Helmand province on Wednesday, an official said.

Col. Zahir Gul Muqbil, fourth brigade border commander told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion occurred near to the border police check-post in Sayd Abad locality of the district at around 8:30am. He said the bombing left two border police personnel dead and the third one wounded.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Hassan, a resident of the area, said the border police check-post had constructed at the Mohammad Sidiqui house.

He confirmed causalities to security forces but had no exact number of them.

On the other hand, a security official, who wished to go unnamed, said the blast left six border police killed and another one wounded

Talibaninfo-icon militants took the responsibility for the blast.

Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, the Taliban spokesman, confirmed the blast carried out by their fighter and said Afghan forces suffered heavy casualties in the incident.
