Diplomats confer on Afghan peace efforts
KABUL (Pajhwok): Ambassadors of Iran and Afghanistan
to Pakistan
have met in Islamabad on issues of bilateral interest
Ambassador Dr. Omar Zakhilwal tweeted after Wednesday’s meeting that he conferred with Mehdi Honardoost on Afghan peace efforts.
Other developments of interest to the two countries, including bilateral relations, were also discussed, Zakhilwal wrote, according to IRNA.
Afghanistan is using Iran’s Bandar Abbas and Chabahar ports for cargo traffic, as trade links between the neighbours are steadily rising.
