CHARIKAR militants on Wednesday suffered heavy causalities in clashes in various districts of central Parwan province, closing the Bamyan highway.
Col. Alozai Ahmadi, coordination commander at the police headquarters, told Pajhwok Afghan News 400 militants attacked Sia Gard, Shinwari and Shiekh Ali Dara Ghorband districts at 5am.
He did not provide details about the clashes but said the insurgents suffered heavy casualties. The corpses of two fighters were still lying at the battle scene, he added.
