KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): The Embassy of China in capital Kabul on Thursday assisted Shamsa orphanage with educationinfo-icon materials during a ceremony.

Chinese Ambassador Liu Jingson, orphanage and Afghan officials took part in the ceremony at the embassy.

The Chinese envoy, who over charge four months ago, he said the Afghans were hospitable people. “I feel proud to help Shamsa orphanage today,” he added.

He expressed happiness his country has been assisting Afghanistaninfo-icon and promised continued cooperation with what he called “the brave Afghan nation.”

Maryam, director of the orphanage, thanked the Chinese ambassador and termed Afghanistan and China as good neighbors in the region.

Maryam added about 130 orphan children were kept at the Shamsa orphanage which had been active since a decade.

Farima, 16, an orphan girl, expressed gladness and thanked the Chinese government for its assistance.
