Blast near voter registration center leaves 7 injured
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Seven people have been killed and injured in a blast near voter registration center in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Sunday, an official said.
The incident happened at around 9:00am in Shanzda Famili locality in the limits of forth police district.
Governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast was carried out thought a Zaranj type vehicle near a mosque.
He added seven people, including children and policemen, were injured in the blast.
Public Health Department Spokesman Inamullah Miakhel said seven injured, including a policeman had been evacuated to the hospital from the site of blast.
The injured were being treated and their health condition had been improved.
Zabihullah Wagari, the Independent Election Commission (IEC), head for Nangarhar confirmed the incident and added in which some people including a policewoman was injured.
No militant group claimed responsibility for the blast.
