Policeman killed, 4 wounded in Nangarhar explosions
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A policeman was killed and four individuals, including two civilians, were wounded in two separate blasts of eastern Nangarhar province on Monday.
Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the two back-to-back explosions took place in Ring Road area of in the Behsud district at 7:40am.
He said the second explosion happened when police and residents gathered at the scene of the first blast. One policeman was killed and four others including civilians were wounded.
Public Health Department spokesman Inamullah Miakhel confirmed receiving a dead body and four injured people from the scene. One of the injured is said to be in critical condition.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blasts, but government officials often blame Taliban and Daesh fighters for such attacks.
