20 Afghans apprehended in Kohat search operations

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Twenty Afghan citizens have been detained during search operations in Pakistaninfo-icon’s northwestern district of Kohat, a police official says.

The Afghans were among 75 suspects rounded up in different parts of the garrison city, District Police Officer (DPO) Abbas Majeed Marwat told journalists on Friday.

Search operations were conducted in Jangalkhel village, Jharma, Dhodha, refugee camps, areas around the district jail and educational institutions.

The DPO said that police, Elite force, female cops, bomb disposal squad and intelligence agencies’ personnel took part in the operations, which also involved sniffer dogs.
